Synovial cyst (SC) consists of thickened connective tissue and synovium. It is encapsulated and filled of serous, mucinous, and hemorrhagic fluid and white mixoid material. SC is invariably associated with degenerative disc and facet disease. Clinical presentation is with chronic low back pain, radicular symptoms, neurogenic claudication, cauda equina syndrome. This lesioni s more common in female gender and in people older than 60 years. It may spontaneously regress and surgical treatment is laminectomy with cyst excision.
